Driving New Consumers to Walmart in the Diabetic Shakes Category

Heartland used Walmart Luminate Shopper Behavior, Customer Perception, and Channel Performance to launch a new product to Walmart shoppers, broadening its product offering to provide more flavors and sizes, and to identify opportunities to modify their digital approach with Walmart Connect.

About the Speaker
Ben has 15 years of experience in consumer packaged goods with a diverse background in sales, category, and marketing across all classes of trade in the US and Canadian markets. Ben has worked on product categories throughout the store including household cleaners, leisure and entertainment, health and beauty care, and food. Over the past 5 years, he has specialized in strategy and insights and is currently the Director of Category Management for Heartland Food Products Group, the makers of Splenda. The mission of Splenda is to help consumers reduce calories without compromising on the foods they enjoy. Since joining Heartland Food Products Group, Ben has helped to spread the Splenda brand outside of the core sweetener aisle into adjacent categories to help reach more customers with new consumption occasions to help them on their journey to better health.
